Every year, approximately 19,400 women and 12,100 men are affected by cancers caused by HPV. That’s enough people to fill Madison Square Garden 1.5 times!
HPV can cause many types of cancer…throat cancer, anal cancer, penile cancers, and cervical, vaginal, and vulvar cancers.
And while there are a lot of strains of HPV, a few are particularly notorious. Fourteen strains are the biggest cancer causers! Just 2 strains are responsible for 90% of cervical cancers.
But you can protect your kids now!
The HPV vaccine targets some of the most harmful strains! It’s safe and effective for children of any gender, and it’s recommended for pre-teens at age 11 or 12.
While there’s a lot of misinformation about vaccines out there, the truth is, common HPV vaccine side effects are less serious and vaccine can include fever, dizziness, fainting, or pain at injection site. Global health authorities did not find a link to serious adverse effects!
Get peace of mind. So talk to your child’s doctor about the HPV vaccine today!
