Ibis Reproductive Health is hosting the first ever Free the Pill Day on May 9th—the day the FDA first approved the birth control pill in 1960—giving women the freedom to determine their own life path. It’s past time to make the pill truly accessible. #FreeThePill Day is a digital day of action to call attention to the barriers too many people still face in accessing the birth control pill and demonstrate the widespread support for bringing the pill over the counter in the U.S. Ibis Reproductive Health is also looking for parents of adolescents and teens who are interested in speaking in support of over-the-counter birth control pills from their perspective as a parent.
