Dr. Sara Nasserzadeh, PhD, a Social Psychologist and thought leader in the field of Culture, Sexuality, and Relationships, will deliver a keynote at Social Norms & Cultures: Honoring Experiences & Perspectives, the 38th Annual Healthy Teen Network National Conference. With her unique background and extensive global experience, Dr. Nasserzadeh—who is a published author and international radio host who has worked with governments, international businesses and nonprofit organizations, and UN agencies as a strategic consultant, cultural advisor, keynote speaker, and commentator—is a dynamic and sought after speaker.
Sara’s keynote will shed light on some of the most influential yet over-looked areas when it comes to addressing adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health. “As providers, we cannot be experts on each and every context, nor are we expected to be in the majority of settings,” Sara says. “However, if we are to ensure that we go about our work in the most effective way, while acknowledging its inherently sensitive nature of sexuality related issues, there are some basic principles that must be considered and worked through.”
Get to know Sara and her work with these four quick facts:
